The Energy Transition in Voorschoten

Gemeente Voorschoten aims to be carbon-neutral by 2050. I provided strategic guidance on renewable energy generation, including wind energy, solar farms, rooftop solar, and solar carports, ensuring a structured and feasible approach to their sustainability goals.

 

Additionally, I supported the municipality in tackling power grid congestion by collaborating with the grid operator to expand the transmission and distribution network. This included establishing a new substation, opening one in three streets for infrastructure upgrades, and doubling the number of medium-voltage facilities across all districts, ensuring a future-proof and resilient energy system.
