Arjan has more than a decade of international experience in management consulting, investment management and supporting start-ups.
He was a management consultant with Accenture's strategy team for five years during which he mainly helped utilities analyse business issues and shape transformational strategies at the intersection of technology (IT) and business. He lived in Africa for a few years during which he was a consultant for the World Bank, UN and others in partnership with reputable regional consulting firms. During his time in Africa he set up an award-winning social business and piloted an innovative solution to accelerate access to electricity. In Brussels, he worked as an investment manager for a clean energy fund of the European Commission. He currently supports companies that are focused on innovation in sustainability and energy transition.
Arjan studied Industrial Engineering & Management (Specialization: IT) at the Technical University of Twente and Finance at the London School of Economics. In addition, he holds certificates in Blockchain Strategy from the University of Oxford Said Business School and in Programming from Le Wagon.
